What drove you to become interested in outrageous fortune, for me i would have to say it was when they advertised the show way back in season one, the bit where Cheryl find out about Pascalle working at the Champagne Club. I thought hmmm that looks like an interesting show and ive been obsessed with it ever since, i just wish i could find my copy of the West family album. -

to be honest i stumbled across OF by accident midway thru S3 & got hooked straight away & i have no idea why. i went out & bought S1 & S2 DVDs & watched them before S3 finished. i love the show because it's original & the characters are far from perfect but completely believable & relateable. -

Awesome thread Annabel!!
I came home from work around 10 one night and turned on the tv, and there was Wolf stepping out the tongans in the first episode of S2.
couple of weeks later there was Tyson stomping around in his gang patch.
Couple of weeks after that was the episode where van wants to buy that stupid little house and i saw them roll down the hill on car doors and vans very kiwi "AYE?!?"
I though Fuck this looks awesome!!
So I bought the digital versatile discs. -

I thought I'd make it a thread since the other thread that i just read mentioned that there isnt any recent outrageous goss at the moment and it got me thinking
By the way Cornelius how did you know that my name is actually Annabel..Not to sound like a complete dog but how could Aurora even go out with tyson hes ugly inside and out (old news i know but Tyson was just metioned so yeah shoot me for bringing it up if you want)
I love that bit where Van and Munter are sitting on Jethro's car doors then they nearly fly down the hill CLASSIC -

I came across OF by being the dedicated fan that I am. I heard somehow that Shane was on the show so then I just had to watch it!!! I had never heard of it, had no idea what it was about and had never seen any ads or anything. So I found out what time it was on and then tuned into channel 3 every Tuesday at 9.30 since then. The first episode I saw was the one in S2 where Wolf and his gang are robbing the gangs.
When the S2 DVD came out I bought it straight away and with it bought the S1 DVD so I could be up to date.
And over the years I have managed to introduce the show to most of the people I know :) So now everyone knows about it. -

Midway through season three. The episode when Van and Munter got 'back together' lol. And then I kept watching on and off, liking it, but not caring too much until the end of the season, which was awesome. I then went and bought the first two seasons on dvd, and literally watched it all day every day for the next two months. Hooked ever since. -

I remember reading a bit about it in the tv guide (or might have been in the paper) about a new NZ show and it sounded interesting so I watched it.
Love how people see one episode and are hooked :-)
Such a good show.

I got hooked by accident also - I was a huge fan of McLeods Daughters and Aaron Jeffery and saw some clips of OF on youtube, then remembered seeing some of it late one night on our TV3 here in Ireland - loved what I saw (not just of Aaron Jeffery, who it turns out was, in my opinion, not suited as a character in OF) and ordered series 1,2,3,4 and 5 - fabulous writing, brilliant actors = magic -

Well I'm a new OF adict! Watched the last ep of season 4 and thought it was pretty good! My sister owned the first two seasons so during the summer hols I borrowed them and after watching season 1 I brought the first 4 seasons! Adicted ever since!!! (Only a year!!! WOW!) -

I watched Series 4, followed by Season 1 on TV as well. When it finished, I was gutted, so one by one I bought the DVDs and watched them. I didn't know how lucky I was, spending days on end watching episode after episode (also in the holidays!) In a way it was better than having to wait a week after each episode. So I've been an addict for less than a year. -

I only just started watching at the beginning of season 5 so I'm a new one also. I got into it because on this random Tuesday way back my mum got home from wherever she went and was like " Ooh Outrageous fortune is on now' and i was like ' huh, i might watch that'. And so i did. And then the next day i came to school and we had p.e first, and i went up to Van_fish and i was like 'Guess what !?' and she was like 'You watched outrageous fortune last night !?' and i was like ' Actually, yes' and then she did this massive rant about how great it was and everything so then i just kept watching it. -

I first saw the Christmas special, thought nothing of it, then completely forgot about it. Then one night there was nothing else on so I watched the episode in season 4 when Cheryl puts her back out. Again, it thought nothingof it, and forgot about it. Then a few weeks into season 5, with nothing to watch, I started watching and something clicked. I watched it the following week, went and borrowed seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 from my Aunty. Then I convinced my mum to buy all of the seasons... I've been hooked ever since :) -
