    George Henare also has a lead role in the 13-part series adaptation of Margaret Mahy's novel "Kaitangata Twitch." He plays Lee Kaa, the "keeper of the fire" for the island Kaitangata. He tries to keep it from "twitching" (earthquakes) and its cannibalistic spirit from awakening and seeking human flesh again after 50 years. He has met a young girl, Meredith Gallagher, that he believes will be the next "keeper of the fire."  Meredith's father Carey is played by Charles Mesure, Zane Gerard on OF.

    "Kaitangata Twitch" airs at 7 p.m. Sundays on Maori Television. Then that week's episode is available to see for a week online at http://www.maoritelevision.com  The fifth episode is up now.
