Outrageous Fortune writer James Griffin has not ruled out a return for the West family.
Speaking to 3 News yesterday, Griffin said he was satisfied with where the series ended but that a tele-feature could be on the cards.
“We’ve always talked, half jokingly, about the possibility of coming back a few years down the track and doing a, ‘Where are they now?’ kind of episode,” he said
“But that would require a good story to present itself, a desire from the audience and the network – I think we could manage that – but most importantly, that all the family wanted to come back and play.”
Whether or not the Wests return to our TV screens would be determined by the individual career paths of the actors.
“If a window opens up where we can get everyone back and there’s a will and a story, then I think yeah, we might give it a nudge,” Griffin said.
Also interesting is that the show was watched by more than 700,000 Kiwis! Impressive.

Robyn Malcolm also hinted last night on Nightline that it's over... "for now at least".
What are your thoughts on a "Where are they now" OF episode?

Christmas movie at Tutaekuri Bay, anyone?
Everyone comes together for Christmas - Van would have to have kids, Jane a mini Loretta.
Cheryl can find out that Wayne helped her to get out of jail.
And maybe Wolf can come back ... not to claim Cheryl but to see his grandchildren - he would have to hit Judd though. And Judd would take it like a good man.

I'm with LOFeShane. I'd love to see a West reunion, Pascalle teaming with Judd's kids, and Cheryl with a spunky guy. -

even though Tamar said "don't hold your breath", i have a feeling it will happen, especially how the show ended, the smiles between Cheryl & Judd - where are they now episode possibly showing that Judd was the one who really got her out?
Van & Muntz talking about their kids growing up together during the season....
etc...
still many avenues to discover if actors and producers are willing? -

I wouldn't wanna see it at Dogshit Bay again, been there done that.
Something new, or just at the West house/ West Auckland would be great!

@Drew_1981 true since most are coming here! although if our tv produces got a hold of it; which I hope not, would turn it into a home & away show and drag some suspense or major event for a season. leave it to the Kiwi's by all means even if shooting in Oz.
Maybe we could have a show about Wolf and his earthmoving business just like we had Kenny the Plumber :D -

Wests on the Gold Coast :p I love that idea. Just not too far north because then it's too snobby for the Wests lol. Surfers Paradise at schoolies time. They'd be Toolies!!!!
Not sure if Kiwi's are up with the lingo, Toolies are what we call people in their 20's who gate crash schoolies. Often getting drunk, selling drugs and taking advantage of school leavers. Nothing to do with Tool Guys unfortunately. Hmm then again, maybe not the best thing for the Wests lol.

It would be great if the West's came to America. Like that NZ show Moon TV did this season. Only not New York. Somewhere in the deep south. They would fit right in. -

Deep south? What would they have in common? They would scare Cheryl lol. -

Gold Coast would be funny. Could always have Hayden forced to go over to see his Mum in Brisbane and have the rest of them tag along for a holiday. They'd be sort of Toolies but they'd be the ones buying all the drugs, not selling them. The West family performing a public service, protecting the school kids by smoking all the dope themselves! -

@louise86, No expat, born and bread here in Oz, living here - was thinking of moving OS somewhere, although i do have and have worked with many Kiwi/Maori people/friends, actually come to think of it, I don't think I've had had a job with no Kiwi/Maori workmates!! One job in my early uni days, working with a bunch of very funny Maori guys, reminded me exactly as a group of 'Munter's' with a touch of 'Falani' right down to the weed just no thieving, well from what I knew hahahahahahaha. -
