Outrageous online & in the media: [Sink] "Progress" - The unofficial Outrageous Fortune tribute

*WORK IN PROGRESS*, full pun intended.

If you have watched my sample vid from a while ago, you should know what to roughly expect. No long scenes, no excessive dialogue usage, only the best bits. My vid will now include themes, which means it will be like 3-4 vids put together, each one with its own theme.

Love/Romance, Drama, Comedy/Fun Times, as well as a closing piece with scenes I didn't get to use in the first 3 sections but are still worthy of showing, with a song that says "never forget". Come to think of it, I might combine the drama with the fun times because they are equally entertaining! Especially the punches!
If you happen to recall my "Before they were Wests" threads, the vid will also include elements of that. Instead of pictures, I'll use actual scenes from where the pictures were taken. Kirk's is by far the funniest! PUT THAT PINCH ON HIM!!

The title will be "Progress", because I see that damn word everywhere and it makes me think of the first days of O.F., from a silly-looking comedy show to a drama powerhouse that everyone wants to copy (but fails miserably). THAT'S what I call progress! Though the clips shown will not have a chronological order, that's not the kind of progress I wanna show, I'll leave it upto others.

What I'm stuck on is what song to use for love/fun times, which is why I'd like all your input. I've uploaded samples from the songs I've narrowed my search down to, and I'd like you to tell me what you think. Criticism is definitely welcome, as long as it's constructive. Each sample is around 2mb, so it's not like I'm asking you to download an entire album.

The first song is one I'll definitely use regardless. Lulu you already know this one, it's called "The Flood" (Robbie Williams on lead vocals) and it's most likely the one I'll use for drama/fun times.

For the love theme I didn't wanna use something too cheesy and popular, like My Heart Will Go On. Here are the potential candidates, although I will take other suggestions, if you have any!

I'm thinking of having one little section with all the heavy stuff, such as the deaths and the aftermath, and (considered) major losses, like Cheryl and Judd/Wolf, Jethro's departure (hard to believe anyone would give a damn), Loretta and Hayden's breakup etc, something that had a rather huge emotional impact on a particular character, and their reaction to it.
But instead of making it out like such a huge loss, I'd rather focus on a potential hope factor, that no matter how hurtful it was, they're still holding onto hope for the future.

I ask for your input because I'd like this to be a somewhat group effort. Yes I will be putting the vid together, but I'd like some help with the songs. After all I'm not making the vid for myself. And if the majority can't stand these songs, then the vid wouldn't really be watchable, right?

I will say one thing, I don't like to be rushed. It will be done when it's done. I like to take my time and progress carefully. I don't wanna have to release like 3-4 different updated versions because I accidentally stuffed something up in the previous one, like a few of Drew's badly chopped scenes for example. I'm a perfectionist.
The vid will come out in early 2011, around January. If you wanna ask how's the vid coming along, I will gladly answer. But I won't respond to "hurry up"s.

So what's the thing that's gonna happen next year then????? I thought there was something lined up!

Exhibition runs until May next year, maybe that's what you're thinking?

Would you believe it just occured to me that it might be the "alternate song" you spoke of and not the one you used? Lol I thought it was your NLUG and I didn't bother clicking it because I'd already watched your vid and listened to it.

Nice track but it's full instrumental. I'd hoped for some lyrics to go with it. Could fit very well as a closing credits kind of thing. Thank you.
