I just watched all 107 episode in a week long period here in the USA. What a fantastic series. It really says allot about the Kiwi Entertainment industry. I pity you all for losing such an excellent TV Show. I wish it could come back. I guarantee that this show would KICK ARSE in the USA.

The acting talent and production staff was just phenomemal in my opinion. Great writing. I can go on and on. This was a real jewel.

Ron, I loved this show too.  I'm in Toledo, Ohio and found OF on Netflix.
I blew thru it in a week-ish also.
I miss the characters so much.
We don't have anything close to this type of series here in the US.

I'm from the UK and we're on Season 4 at the moment on the CBS Drama channel. This is my favourite programme at the moment and now ranks as one of my favourite drama series of all time. It does what so many British dramas don't do as they rely so heavily at the moment on either history (Downton Abbey and other costume dramas), spy or detective dramas and lame sitcoms. Outrageous Fortune is real, visceral, funny, uncompromising television. I've plugged it on Facebook but none of my friends seem to be biting. We also have a lot of comedies, dramas and reality shows (The Jeremy Kyle Show, Shameless etc.) that fit into a new televisual and film genre known as 'poverty porn' which show working class or criminal class people as without humanity or redemption (I'm already thinking that Loretta West would so agree with me). This is quality television that I wish could be emulated in the UK. Rachel Lang, come to the UK and show us how it's done! I love the characters and the fact that the women are REAL women, not the muppets we have on our TV shows. I'm so in love with this show that I had a dream the other night that I met Robyn Malcolm (Cheryl West) in Selfridges in London (I live in London). My responses are not entirely intelligent and academic, I am a woman after all (a woman in her early forties). I think that Vann, Munter and Judd are really really hot!

I live in Texas and found this a few weeks ago on Netflix.  I instantly became a fan. The characters became friends and I would love to see how hay are now.  I think the acting was superb, by each individual.  Robyn Malcolm, Kirk Torrence and Tammy Davis, in particular, were standouts. I would love to know if there are similar NZ shows that are available for viewing.

Wyreless, they did try to make an american version of OF unfortunately it was for ABC and as a network show with all of the restrictions those entail it was a horrible attempt, (another thing is that they tried to copy the dialogue word for word only changing things that would not make a lot of sense to us Americans from Kiwi slang to American slang, and omitting some of the grittier parts that make OF so wonderful) I wish one of the premium channels would pick it up and run the original series, especially since I let my netflix lapse and now that I've renewed its no longer available.
