Very simple
Although this does perpetuate a bad stereo-type.
Woman scorned.
She fakes getting beat up. Also smacks Jed around to look good.
Yes Gary did drug Jethro though, so I'm not sure about his degree of involvement. -

It wasn't a women scorned at all. It was Gary showing Jethro who's the boss, and that Jethro shouldn't even try to mess with him. Gary drugged both Jethro and Treena - and set the scene up.
This was clearly shown by:
1. Jethro commenting to Gary that he knew what happen by saying that he woke up upstairs and so someone had to carry him up.
2. Once Jethro let Gary have his way, the whole problem disappeared. (Chances are that Treena thought it was Jethro that hit her, not Gary, but it was not show either way from what I remember, but Gary paid her off once Jethro backed down.)
I haven't watched those episodes in a while so there might be something else, I do remember that Van and Munter went to her house and followed her looking for proof but can't recall if/what they found. -

I disagree.
Everything Treena said and did after that was consistent with a lying woman that had been scorned. I believe her wounds were 100% self inflicted.
Sure Gary probably inflamed the situation telling her how Jed used her to get votes on council and such. Yes Gary drugged Jed to make it easier for Treena to get revenge. But she was totally a woman scorned even before the wounds she incured and certainly after. -

Treena may have been in on it, but it was Gary's idea and Gary's doing. Remember that this was the time that Gary found out that Jethro was dating Daniella. It was clearly more Gary showing Jethro who was in charge rather than Treena. -

We'll have to just agree to disagree here.
I'll bet most will agree with me on this one though.
Not saying Gary didn't set things in motion, but with or without Gary Treena would've done something messed up to Jethro. Remember she had just left her husband right before Jed dumped her like a piece of meat. -

Well, I thought it was clearly Gary's doing.
I didn't even think it was up for debate. They showed it as clearly as possible without someone coming on screen and saying "Gary did it, it was Gary". -

^^ That sums up everything that I would have said about this subject.
However, I think that Treena was also in on it to a certain extent. I just kind of got that vibe from her actions. I have no doubt that Gary organised the whole situation, but I think that Treena was definitely involved in it also.
