John Leigh
John Leigh is a regular face on New Zealand television screens having appeared in some of the country’s favourite television productions.
In addition to his role as fire-obsessed madman Sparky on OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE, his recent work includes a core cast role on James Griffin’s comedy series, Diplomatic Immunity.
In 2007 he played an IRD staff member in the New Zealand feature film We’re Here to Help. He also featured in the UK/New Zealand telefeature The Man Who Lost His Head.
John first became a household name in New Zealand playing the bumbling café owner Lionel Skeggins on Shortland Street – a role he had for five years. Other television credits include a core cast role in the police drama series Interrogation, as well as Spin Doctors, Maddigan’s Quest, Mercy Peak, Xena – Warrior Princess and the BBC co-production Kidnapped.
John’s earlier feature film roles include Peter Jackson’s The Frighteners as well as Stickmen, Ozzie and Spooked.
