Q&A with Kirk Torrance

  • Samantha asks Kirk: what future goals do you have? having lived in New Zealand for the past 9 years, I think this is a great country but socially I think it lacks something. what do you guys think you can achieve from this programme to help? I really do love the show though.

    Good questions Samantha.

Future goals – to create and develop my own projects and to be able to self fund them on a grand scale.

Socially lacking? Perhaps. We are a young country which has made remarkable changes in a remarkably short time. Outrageous Fortune uses humour to illustrate some of our social ‘graces’.

  • Kaitlyn asks Kirk: do you actually have a moe in real life cause if u don’t u look way better without one. thanks, Kaitlyn

    Kia Ora Kaitlyn,

I got rid of that mo as fast as I could!

  • Joshua asks Kirk: man you are a primo actor…i just hope you and Cheryl end up together overall coz you can treat her way better than Wolf can..anyways my question is..where did you go to study to become an actor? toi whaakare or other?..

    Kia ora Joshua,

Thanks bro. I trained at Toi Whaakari. I was 28 when I got into drama school and having zero acting experience, the place was a real eye opener. A formative time in my life.

  • Gwendoline asks Kirk: Hello Kirk. Think your character is great. You do a great job. My question is what is it like to do love in scenes in front of the camera? Cheers, Gwendoline.

    Very embarassing! And very unsexy.

  • Emma asks Kirk: Kirk, You are truly an amazing actor – very admirable and a great role model. I was just wondering what your favourite part of New Zealand is? Do you get to Australia much? Emma, Gold Coast

    Kia Ora Emma,

    Thanks for your email.

Favourite part of NZ? Too many places to single out one. I’m a surfer so…..a beach with a point break, surrounded by native bush would do me.

I’d be in Australia in a shot if I had a job to go to.

    Kirk.
