Elena (pronounced Yelena) is Van‘s Russian bride. She is from a Nizhny Novgorod, a city of about 1.5 million. Elena is an optimist, sweet natured – and also pragmatic. She is quiet and shy, but once she sets her mind to something she always follows through. She is enormously loyal; and if she’s tougher than she appears, it’s no surprise.
