Wayne Judd prides himself on his local knowledge and his ability to get a good result. He’s calm, slow-talking and world weary. He has personal knowledge of the Wests for a while now, but they are by no means the worst offenders on his turf. And in a job where there are few rewards, here is an instance where he has made a real difference: turned an entire family around, thanks to Cheryl. He has to admit there’s something very attractive about her, and strange though it is to say, unlike most of cynical cops he works with she has direction – values!
